Brazil campaign

When Brazil were invited to play a couple of exhibition games in Australia, Nike approached Attik to create the campaign to promote the tour. The only prerequisite of the brief was to centre the campaign around a caricature that was being used to promote Nike Brazil at the time. Focussing on the carnival spirit Brazil and their fans bring to the game a festivity of football and culture was devised, “Futebol Carnaval” was created. The character was embraced and given a name, to add further personality, a variety of action poses were created for “Boleiro” all of which were showcased in posters and window panels. The campaign was supported by the local Brazilian communities of Sydney and Melbourne playing football and performing Samba and Capoeira. A “carnival bus” was used to converge on landmark spots in the two cities, to invite the public to get involved and generate a buzz and excitement that Brazil and their unique style of football were in town!.
