Identity crest

 

Spencer Owen is a football broadcaster and personality famously known for his YouTube football channel “Spencer FC”. Spencer’s first kit collaboration was with Campo Retro who launched his own branded kits and t-shirt collection. As part of this collaboration Campo Retro invited me to design a new crest for Spencer FC. Understanding Spencer’s aspirations I created a modern brand mark that is highly personalised and in the form of a football crest. This crest would then feature across all content in his channel, Spencer’s innovative approach universally resonating around the cultural aspects of football and fan involvement. The popularity of his ideas has gained him a loyal following, accumulating just under 2 million YouTube subscribers to date. As Spencer continued to evolve he entered high profile sponsorships including Umbro. In this collaboration he established a game academy utilising his crest as the primary branding element. Spencer is now regarded as a highly influential football and esports presenter, he regularly interviews elite players, appears on ESPN, hosts his own cup tournament at Wembley and has founded his own professional eSports football team; Hashtag United.
